Who the specialised courses are for?

Specialised courses are for the mastering of specific topics and the acquisition of new knowledge. You may select the writing of the grammar, vocabulary, official letter, to learn to write or renew CV, or write only one motivation letter, to prepare for the job interview with your dream employer. The time and intensity of the sessions are coordinated according to the client’s request.

Grammar courses

Sometimes all you need is to repeat the grammatical tenses or remember how the questions are constructed, or simply remember the conjunctions or properly put together complex sentences.

The recommended duration of the courses is 10 academic hours (may be altered based on the client’s request).

Writing an official letter in the English language

In communicating with the clients, you often write letters of various kinds, however, it is frequently not clear how the written official letters are sent via regular mail or e-mail and questions arise due to the lexis, i. e. used vocabulary, as it is the most rapidly changing part of the language system

The recommended duration of the courses is 3 academic hours (may be altered based on the client’s request).

Job interview in the English language

When participating in a job interview in the native language, one may experience nervousness, and if the interview is in the English language, everything seems more complex. During this course, the preparation for the interview is studied, the most frequently asked and potential “weird” questions are discussed, the “best” answers and even the position of your hands during the discussion, which may tell a lot about your character traits to the employer, are reviewed.

Vocabulary courses

If you work in an area of business, dentistry, surgery, engineering, accounting, fishery, transport, or other area, but lack words when communicating with the clients, this course will help to expand knowledge of lexis area. Besides, the vocabulary constantly fluctuates: a part of the words die out (archaisms, historicisms); new ones emerge (neologisms or recent words); newly created things, phenomena, or realia, which require some sort of naming; due to the users’ community contact with communities speaking other language, there are quite a lot of loanwords (international words, calques, barbarisms, words that acquire new meanings), especially in the terminology of the science and technique, where there are plenty of international words.

Writing a CV and motivation letter in the English language

CV (lot. CURRICULUM VITAE means the course of life, i.e. its description, biography) – short resume of life, whose goal is to structurally convey the main information about oneself. It is a document, where the wish and suitability to work in the applied workplace are disclosed. The individual characteristics, acquired skills and experience are described in it. his document allows the employer to get the first positive impression about the applicant in the workplace, as the information presented in it does not repeat, but complements the CV. During this course, the subtleties of the preparation, writing, and presentation of these documents are studied since most employers interpret your motivational letter as proof that you can communicate in written form and as your opinion on yourself. It is a key towards the successful beginning of your career.
